These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of symbolic olive tree adoption services and products via the website adoptyourolive.com, managed by Adopt Your Olive di Michele Ezio de Sinno, with registered office at Via Morgagni, 84, 71016 San Severo (FG), Italy, VAT ID 04563000712. 1. Subject of the Contract & Services Offered
1.1. Classic Adoptions: This contract governs the purchase of the "Symbolic Adoption" service of an olive tree for a duration of 12 (twelve) months. The adoption is a sponsorship aimed at supporting sustainable agricultural practices.
1.2. Core Benefits (Classic Adoptions): Every adoption includes:
- Physical Welcome Certificate and Tree Photo.
- Physical Club Card containing a unique Member ID.
- Periodic email updates regarding the grove's status.
1.3. Available Packages: The classic service is sold in combination with Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) in the following formats:
- Welcome Kit: Includes the Adoption Service + 2 Bottles (0.50L each) of Authentic Pugliese EVOO (Total 1L).
- Reserve Kit: Includes the Adoption Service + 4 Bottles (0.50L each) of Authentic Pugliese EVOO (Total 2L).
- Family Kit: Includes the Adoption Service + 10 Bottles (0.50L each) of Authentic Pugliese EVOO (Total 5L).
All adoption kits include custom labels inscribed by hand with the personalized name provided during checkout.
1.5. La Bottega: "La Bottega" showcases artisanal Apulian pantry specialties. During the current limited rollout phase, items are available upon direct request via our integrated messaging channels (email/WhatsApp).
1.7. The shipping timing of physical goods, particularly Olive Oil, is regulated as detailed in the Shipping and Returns page and constitutes an integral part of this contract.
2. Conclusion of the Contract
2.1. The contract is concluded when Adopt Your Olive receives the payment and sends an Order Confirmation email.
2.2. We reserve the right to refuse orders that are incomplete or if the product is temporarily unavailable.
3. Duration and Renewal
3.1. The symbolic olive tree adoption is valid for a period of 12 (twelve) months starting from the date the physical olive oil package is dispatched. For pre-orders placed for the upcoming harvest (January dispatch), the 12-month adoption period officially begins on the date the physical package is dispatched in January.
3.2. There is no automatic renewal. You will be invited to renew voluntarily via email before expiration.
4. Prices and Payments
4.1. Prices are in Euros (€) and include VAT and EU shipping costs, unless otherwise indicated.
4.2. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Details are specified on the checkout page.
Adopt Your Olive operates under the Italian "Regime Forfettario" (Law 190/2014), therefore VAT may not be applied for Italian customers, but will be managed according to the regulations of the target countries for foreign customers. Invoices are issued only upon specific request by the customer at the time of order or immediately after via email.
For shipments to Non-EU countries, local authorities may apply Import Duties and Customs Fees. These costs are not included in our price and are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
5. Shipping
5.1. We ship via tracked couriers. Delivery times depend on the courier. Details on times, costs, and methods are on the Shipping and Returns page.
5.2. Geographic Coverage: Our direct shipping network currently serves the European Union (EU), United Kingdom, Switzerland, United States, and Canada. Orders destined for countries outside this list require prior regulatory verification by Adopt Your Olive regarding customs laws and agricultural import constraints; we reserve the right to decline orders where compliance cannot be guaranteed.
6. Right of Withdrawal & Returns
6.1. Pre-orders & Digital Reservation Certificates: For adoption pre-orders scheduled for January dispatch, the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase without stating any reason, provided the physical package has not yet entered the packaging and dispatch phase.
6.2. Custom Personalized Goods: Pursuant to Art. 59, letter c) of the Italian Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal is strictly excluded for physical adoption kits featuring personalized labels and handwritten certificates once crafted and dispatched.
6.3. Standard Products (La Bottega): For non-personalized pantry items, the consumer may withdraw within 14 days of delivery, provided goods remain completely sealed and intact for hygiene compliance.
6.4. Damaged Products: Any damage incurred during transport must be reported with photographic documentation within 48 hours of delivery to info@adoptyourolive.com for an immediate replacement at our expense.
7. Legal Guarantee of Conformity
7.1. The products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (Arts. 128-135, Consumer Code). In case of defects, the customer can request a replacement or refund by contacting info@adoptyourolive.com within 2 months of discovering the defect.
7.2. Regardless of the condition of the trees and the production yield, Adopt Your Olive will provide oil of the same cultivar and quality as indicated in each product's description.
8. Customer's Obligations
The customer guarantees the correctness of the data provided for the order, shipping, and personalization. Adopt Your Olive is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect data.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1. All contents of the site (e.g., photos, videos, texts, certificates) are the property of Adopt Your Olive and may not be copied, distributed, or used without written authorization.
9.2. The customer may not resell or commercially exploit the received materials (e.g., certificate, plaque, Member ID).
10. Limitations of Liability
10.1. Adopt Your Olive is not responsible for delays or damages caused by couriers, except as provided by the legal guarantee.
10.2. In case of events beyond the control of Adopt Your Olive (e.g., natural disasters), the company commits to providing alternative solutions.
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1. The contract is governed by Italian law.
11.2. For consumers, the competent court is that of their place of residence or domicile. For non-consumers, the exclusive jurisdiction is the Court of Foggia.

12. Changes to the Terms
12.1. Adopt Your Olive reserves the right to update the Terms by publishing the changes on this page. Customers will be informed by email in case of substantial changes.
