1. Shipping Zones and Costs

1.1. We offer free shipping throughout the European Union (EU) for all standard physical orders (Classic Adoptions and La Bottega), as well as for customized Wedding Favors and Corporate Gifts. Some remote islands may be excluded.

1.2. For other countries outside the EU, please contact info@adoptyourolive.com for a custom quote.

1.3. Shipping costs are fully included in the package or quote price, unless otherwise indicated. Solidarity Adoptions are entirely digital and do not incur any shipping costs.

Note for Non-EU Shipments:
For shipments to non-EU countries, any customs duties, import taxes, and local fees are the sole responsibility of the recipient and will be requested by the courier upon delivery. We have no control over these charges.

2. Processing and Delivery Times

We believe you should enjoy your experience immediately. We do not have waiting lists based on harvest seasons.

Processing Time

Your physical orders (Classic Adoption Kits and La Bottega Boxes) are prepared and shipped within 5 business days of your order, at any time of the year.

Corporate & Wedding Favors: Due to the custom graphic design, printing, and manual bottling involved, these orders require a minimum notice of at least 6 weeks before your desired delivery date.

Solidarity Adoptions: These are processed and delivered immediately via email. No physical package will be shipped.

Estimated Delivery Times (Physical Goods)

Once the package leaves our farm, the estimated transit times are:

Italy: 3-5 business days.
Europe (EU): 5-10 business days.
Non-EU countries: subject to customs clearance.

Times may vary due to external factors (e.g., holidays, customs delays). We will contact you in case of significant delays.

3. Right of Withdrawal (Returns)

Pursuant to Art. 52 and Art. 59 of the Italian Consumer Code and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, our return policy varies depending on the nature of the product purchased:

3.1. Standard Products (La Bottega)

For standard, non-personalized goods purchased from La Bottega, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire 14 days from the day you acquire physical possession of the goods. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Important hygiene exception: To be eligible for a return, food and beverage items (e.g., olive oil bottles) must be completely unopened, with all original seals intact. We cannot accept returns of food products that have been opened after delivery for health protection and hygiene reasons.

3.2. Non-Refundable Items (Exclusions)

The right of withdrawal is strictly EXCLUDED for the following items:

Personalized goods: Classic Adoption certificates and custom labels (including Wedding Favors) that are handcrafted and personalized with your specific name or dates.
Solidarity Adoptions: Because this service consists of the immediate delivery of digital content and involves a direct, irrevocable charitable donation to our partner non-profit organization.

3.3. How to Request a Return

To exercise the right of withdrawal for eligible Bottega products, you must inform us by emailing info@adoptyourolive.com. Once approved, the goods must be sent back without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal to us. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned, intact goods.

4. Damaged or Defective Products

4.1. Products Damaged in Transit

We use ultra-secure packaging, but if you receive a product that is visibly damaged during transport (e.g., a broken bottle), please contact us promptly and in any case within 7 days of receipt at info@adoptyourolive.com, attaching:

Order details.
A clear description of the problem.
Photos of the damage to the product and packaging.

If the damage is confirmed, we will provide a free replacement immediately.

4.2. Product Conformity Defects

For any product conformity defect not related to transport damage (e.g., oil quality issues), the terms of the Legal Guarantee of Conformity described in our Terms and Conditions apply, which allow for reporting the defect within 2 months of discovery.
